  • DST funded project on Physico chemical and microbiological analysis of water in uplands of W.G.Dist. An UGC Minor Research Project on “Prevelance of Phosphate solubilizing bacteria in West Godavari district” is sanctioned to Mrs. A. Padmavathi, HOD, Department of Microbiology on 1st February, 2013.

  • Ongoing UGC Minor Research Project on on Isolation and optimization of polygalacturonase producing bacteria from commercial crops of WG.Dist.

INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOUR TO THAILAND

November 13 to 21, 2019 - 4 staff members Dr.P.Jyothi kumari, Dr.A.Padmavathi, Sr.Sunila Rani.P and Mrs.D.Lumbini Devi, 2 students M.Vineetha, III MBN, M.Devi, III MB Chemistry attended IMRF’s 13th International Conference Thailand at Asian Instititute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. Staff and students of the department also presented 5 papers in the programme.

New Academic Year 2019-2020

It is a new academic year of 2019-2020.  It is going to be a year of immense possibilities and challenges.  It's time to unfold new pages and start a new chapter.    We Have A New Principal - Dr.Sr.Marietta D'mello , the former provincial of sisters of St.Ann's Congregation of Providence, took charge as a new principal of St.Theresa's College, Eluru on 6th June, 2019.  Wholeheartedly the Management, Staff and Students welcome her to lead and guide the college.  The welcome celebrations was organized by the newly elected staff club members Dr.D.Fathima Rani, Mrs.Y.Neeraja and Mrs.Santhosh Jhawar .  

AWARENESS PROGRAMMES

On 04.02.2022 organized a Cancer Awareness Quiz on the Eve of World Cancer Day, more than 200 students and staff actively participated in the competition. https://forms.gle/wiP9ggNPxgxkT5LJ9 On 13 th May, 2021 an awareness programme on COVID-19 part-II was organized  Dr.A.Padmavathi and Dr.Sr.P.Sunila Rani, Controller of Examinations were the resource persons of the programme.    An awareness programme on Corona Virus in the campus for all the staff and students. II year B.Sc Microbiology students presented an informative talk with help of a powerpoint presentation on March, 2020.
