UV/Vis spectroscopy is routinely used in analytical chemistry for the quantitative determination of different analyses, such as transition metal ions, highly conjugated organic compounds, and biological macromolecules.

Polymerase Chain Reaction is a technique used in Molecular biology to amplify a single copy or a few copies of a segment of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating thousands to million copies of a particular DNA sequence.

It is used for detecting the parameters of RBC, WBC, HGB and differential counter. The analyzer is used for the determination of the following 20 parameters and 3 histograms blood



Urine analyser

Urine analyser is a kind of semi-automatic opto-electronic color comparator that can be used together with the reagent strip. It can provide a qualitative or semi-quantitaive result for urobilinogen, bilirubin, ketone, Blood, Protein, Nitrite, Leucocytes, Glucose, Specific gravity, pH and Vitamin C of the urine sample

November 13 to 21, 2019 - 4 staff members Dr.P.Jyothi kumari, Dr.A.Padmavathi, Sr.Sunila Rani.P and Mrs.D.Lumbini Devi, 2 students M.Vineetha, III MBN, M.Devi, III MB Chemistry attended IMRF’s 13th International Conference Thailand at Asian Instititute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. Staff and students of the department also presented 5 papers in the programme.
