NATIONAL SEMINAR ORGANIZED BY DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED BIOSCIENCES


A two day national seminar on “RECENT TRENDS IN FUNCTIONAL FOODS IN THE CONTEXT OF HEALTH AND TECHNOLOGY” funded by RUSA – 2.0 , was successfully held on 6th and 7th December 2019. Resource persons of the seminar: Dr. A. Murugan, Professor in Microbiology, Periar university,salem, TN. Prof. Dr. K.V. Santhi Sri, HOD of nutrition , Acharya Nagarjuna university, Guntur. Dr. M.Padmaja, Asst.prof in Nutrition, Ch.S.D.St.Theresa's College for women, Eluru. Around 300 participants from various colleges participated in the seminar and many of the students presented papers and posters on the topics related to “functional foods and their significance”.

  On Feb 13 th 2023 Hannah Maria Mathew of III MBC participated in UGC sponsored national seminar on "Technology advances in Biochemical sciences" she has presented an abstract and  poster on NANOBOTS at Acharya Nagarjuna University On 24 th Feb 2023 College day was celebrated in which All the applied department staff members along with 30 students took an active participation in tabulae-on Seed and Sower for prayer service lead by Dr. P. Jyothi Kumari and Dr. A. Padmavathi

INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOUR TO THAILAND

November 13 to 21, 2019 - 4 staff members Dr.P.Jyothi kumari, Dr.A.Padmavathi, Sr.Sunila Rani.P and Mrs.D.Lumbini Devi, 2 students M.Vineetha, III MBN, M.Devi, III MB Chemistry attended IMRF’s 13th International Conference Thailand at Asian Instititute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. Staff and students of the department also presented 5 papers in the programme.
