2021-2022
  • 24.02.2022 -  Mrs.B.Radha, Lecturer in Nutrition qualified UGCNET.

  •  Dr.A.Padmavathi H.O.D of Microbiology and Biochemistry is elected as a member for St.Theresa’s COVID-19 Counseling and Wellbeing Hub.  The club was inaugurated on 8th June, 2021. 
2020-2021
 

·       Sr.Sunila rani of Department of Microbiology was awarded with her Ph.D  thesis on-” under the guidance, Professor, Department of Botany and Microbiology,  from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur on September, 2020.

 

 2019-2020
  • Mrs.Y.Neeraja of Department of Microbiology was awarded with her Ph.D from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur in the month of January, 2020. 

                                            

  •   Ms.R.Ripsee, Lecturer in Microbiology Qualified APSET.

  • 02.02.2022 -  Mrs.D.Lumbini Devi , Lecturer in Biochemistry and Mrs.B.Radha, Lecturer in Nutrition qualified APRCET. Lumbini Devi secured state 9th rank in Biotehnology and Mrs.B.Radha got state 12th rank in Nutrition and Dietetics.

INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOUR TO THAILAND

November 13 to 21, 2019 - 4 staff members Dr.P.Jyothi kumari, Dr.A.Padmavathi, Sr.Sunila Rani.P and Mrs.D.Lumbini Devi, 2 students M.Vineetha, III MBN, M.Devi, III MB Chemistry attended IMRF’s 13th International Conference Thailand at Asian Instititute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. Staff and students of the department also presented 5 papers in the programme.

AWARENESS PROGRAMMES

On 04.02.2022 organized a Cancer Awareness Quiz on the Eve of World Cancer Day, more than 200 students and staff actively participated in the competition. https://forms.gle/wiP9ggNPxgxkT5LJ9 On 13 th May, 2021 an awareness programme on COVID-19 part-II was organized  Dr.A.Padmavathi and Dr.Sr.P.Sunila Rani, Controller of Examinations were the resource persons of the programme.    An awareness programme on Corona Virus in the campus for all the staff and students. II year B.Sc Microbiology students presented an informative talk with help of a powerpoint presentation on March, 2020.

Departmental Acitivities

The International Women’s Day Was Celebrated In CH.S.D.ST.THERESA’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (A), ELURU on 9.3.2023 by the Centre for Women Studies in collaboration with the Departments of Telugu and Hindi and  NSS. The Chief Guest for the celebration was Mrs. S. H. Deepti, an entrepreneur who runs a start up and is into e commerce. Also a team of doctors from Ayushhospitals,  Eluru also participated in the programme.  As a part of the programme,  the principal of the college Dr. Sr. Mercy wished the gathering and emphasized on the pre-requisites of a successful woman.
