2020-2021

·       Department of Microbiology Organized a National Webinar on “Vaccine-life Saving Drops” (30-05-2020) at 10.am  Dr.Ravi Kiran S.Yeddi, Founder Principal Scientist, Lead Instructor , TCABS-E Was the guest Speaker of the webinar. Altogether 350 Participates attended the webinar.

·       Department of Nutrition Organized a National webinar  on"An immune Booster to fight infection" ( 2-06-2020) at 10am, Dr.K.Damayanthi. NIN was the guest speaker of the webinar. Altogether 400 participants attended the webinar.

·       Department of Biochemistry Organized a National Webinar on “PCR- A Platform for Molecular Diagnostics” (3-06-2020) at 10.am Prof.N.Sethil Kumar, Dept.of.Biochemistry of School of Life sciences, Mizoram university was the guest Speaker of the Webinar. Altogether 300 participates attended the webinar.

 

2021-2022

On 7th September, 2021 Department of UG Nutrition and Dietetics organized a Webinar on Career Guidance – Higher Education Opportunities in Overseas by Mrs.Sri Lakshmi Sravani Devarakonda from Cornell University, USA.              

  •  A webinar on “Avenues for New beginners in Applied Sciences” was organized on 5th February, 2022 at 10 am. Mrs.K.Bhavana, Director, Vyzag Bio Energy Fuel Pvt., Ltd., Vizag was the resource person.

 

  • 30th January, 2022 -  Mrs.B.Radha participated national online quiz on “Awareness on Leprosy” to Commemorate world Leprosy day Conducted by Little flower Degree and PG College, Hyderabad.

                           

 

  • ·    31st January to 5th February, 2022 - Dr.A.Padmavathi, Dr.Y.Neeraja, Mrs.D.Lumbini Devi & Mrs.B.Radha attended - One week online FDP on “Exploring new frontiers in Chemical and Biological sciences under star college programme organized by Marian Star Center,  Department of Chemistry, St.Marys College, Thoothukudi sponsored by DBT.

 

  •  7th to 9th February, 2022 - Mrs.D.Lumbini Devi & Mrs.B.Radha participated Three days online National Research program on Research Draft

INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOUR TO THAILAND

November 13 to 21, 2019 - 4 staff members Dr.P.Jyothi kumari, Dr.A.Padmavathi, Sr.Sunila Rani.P and Mrs.D.Lumbini Devi, 2 students M.Vineetha, III MBN, M.Devi, III MB Chemistry attended IMRF’s 13th International Conference Thailand at Asian Instititute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. Staff and students of the department also presented 5 papers in the programme.

Departmental Acitivities

The International Women’s Day Was Celebrated In CH.S.D.ST.THERESA’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (A), ELURU on 9.3.2023 by the Centre for Women Studies in collaboration with the Departments of Telugu and Hindi and  NSS. The Chief Guest for the celebration was Mrs. S. H. Deepti, an entrepreneur who runs a start up and is into e commerce. Also a team of doctors from Ayushhospitals,  Eluru also participated in the programme.  As a part of the programme,  the principal of the college Dr. Sr. Mercy wished the gathering and emphasized on the pre-requisites of a successful woman. AWARENESS PROGRAMMES

On 04.02.2022 organized a Cancer Awareness Quiz on the Eve of World Cancer Day, more than 200 students and staff actively participated in the competition. https://forms.gle/wiP9ggNPxgxkT5LJ9 On 13 th May, 2021 an awareness programme on COVID-19 part-II was organized  Dr.A.Padmavathi and Dr.Sr.P.Sunila Rani, Controller of Examinations were the resource persons of the programme.    An awareness programme on Corona Virus in the campus for all the staff and students. II year B.Sc Microbiology students presented an informative talk with help of a powerpoint presentation on March, 2020.
